Morning Elopement At Sherwood Forest, Waimanalo, Hawaii

This was my first sunrise wedding ceremony at Waimanalo beach, Sherwood Forest on the East side of Oahu and I was so honored to have witnessed such a beautiful elopement on Ian and Michelle's special day.

The sunrise provided us with amazing lighting conditions and the trade winds were moderate enough to keep things cool. Not to mention, keeping Michelle's blazing red hair constantly blowing in the wind.

It was a simple elopement for this couple. With no flowers or bouquets and just flip-flops on their feet (we call flip-flops, slippers here in Hawaii, Michelle, haha!), they were ready to rock! The elopement was performed by Reverend Kermit Rydell where he kept it short and sweet, followed by some portraits with Ian and Michelle there on the beach and in the forest. With some time on my hands, I had them follow me to another spot where we would end our photo session.

After the 1-hour of excitement, the couple was ready for some food so I suggested they try out a popular local eatery in Waimanalo called, Keneke's. I told them to try the Pork Adobo plate. Michelle later texted me that morning and said the food was awesome.

I enjoyed every laughing moment with these two love-birds from Utah and I'm very blessed to have met them. Thank you so much Ian and Michelle for sharing your special morning with me!
